Third option - build a media box PC with a blu ray burner and HD Tuner card to turn it into a HD DVR

But itunes streams don't provide near the video quality and definitely not the lossless audio quality of Blu-ray of the onscreen features, commentaries and a multitude of other special features that cinemaphiles have grown to love. Some people don't care for these, but I do. Plus, I'm not an Apple fan.
